Three Chiefs Fans Found Dead In Backyard Of Friend’s Home After Watch Party

Tragedy struck a Kansas City Chiefs watch party hosted by Jordan Willis, as three fans were discovered dead in his backyard two days after the Chiefs vs. Chargers game on January 7. Willis had invited friends to his home for the game, which the Chiefs won 13-12. The chilling discovery occurred when the fiancée of one of the men, who hadn’t returned home, broke into Willis’s house and found a deceased individual on the back porch.

Willis, claiming ignorance of his friends’ bodies in his backyard, stated that he had gone to bed after the game, telling his friends they could stay longer if they wished. The victims, identified as David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney, allegedly “froze to death,” according to Willis.

However, the families of the deceased, including Caleb McGeeney, cousin of one victim, find Willis’s account dubious, stating, “It’s got a lot of holes in it.” The families are seeking answers, contending that Willis’s narrative “doesn’t add up.” Willis initially claimed to have seen the men leave, but later his lawyer asserted that he never saw them depart, leaving them downstairs to “hang out” as they pleased.

Adding to the complexity, Willis’s attorney mentioned an unidentified fifth man, a detail not confirmed by the police. The families raised concerns about inconsistencies in Willis’s story, with Harrington’s mother expressing disbelief, stating, “None of his friends, none of the families, none of us believe it… Everybody is furious.”

Despite the families’ skepticism, Captain Jake Becchina of the Kansas City Police Department asserted that the case is not being investigated as a homicide. Willis’s attorney also maintained his client’s innocence, stating, “Jordan had absolutely nothing to do with their deaths.”

As of now, no arrests or charges have been made, and there is no one in custody. Authorities have conveyed that there are no specific threats or concerns for the surrounding community related to this incident. The families, grappling with the tragic loss, continue to press for clarity and answers.
