Detectives urge victims to come forward after DC man arrested for soliciting minor on Snapchat

A D.C. man has been arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate images to a child on Snapchat and attempting to persuade the child to meet him at a Virginia shopping center. The Fairfax County Police Department received a report on December 4 from concerned parents about their child’s communication with a person named “Alex” on Snapchat.

Detectives launched an investigation and, upon reviewing digital evidence, identified 48-year-old Brian Dolan as the suspect. Surveillance video and device matching confirmed Dolan’s involvement. On December 7, Fairfax County detectives, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police Department, arrested Dolan upon his return to the D.C. area.

Dolan is facing charges of three counts of solicitation of a minor and one count of production of child pornography. He is currently held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond. Detectives suspect there may be additional victims and urge anyone with information about unreported incidents involving Dolan to come forward.
