Authorities in the District are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Southeast on Friday night, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old man.
According to a news release, the police were alerted to the incident around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, reporting a shooting in the 4000 block of Wahler Court. While en route to the location, officers received information that an individual with gunshot wounds had been transported to a hospital by car.
Despite life-saving efforts, the victim, identified as 18-year-old Shane Williams of Southeast, succumbed to his injuries.
