Is Daniel Jones starting in Week 16 in Giants game vs. Ravens?

Daniel Jones is poised to start for the Giants when they face the Ravens on Sunday.

The Giants quarterback has been struggling with ankle and knee injuries, leading to him missing the 20-6 Week 15 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Backup Colt McCoy stepped in for Jones in that game, as well as the end of their surprise win over the Seattle Seahawks earlier this month.

But reports that second-year pro Jones has been deemed fit enough to start after his condition improved throughout the week in practice.

With two games to go, the 5-9 Giants are chasing the NFC East leading Washington Football Team (6-8) ahead of their trip to Baltimore.

It is also a game with playoff implications for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who currently sit outside of the AFC Wildcard spots despite holding a 9-5 record.

The Giants have failed to score 20 points in each of their last four games, while the rolling Ravens have averaged over 40 across three straight wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.

While Jones has not enjoyed a vintage season – his 78.2 passer rating ranks 32nd of 36 qualifying QBs – he represents the Giants’ best chance of an upset.
