The California Highway Patrol has officially concluded its investigation into Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías, according to reports from TMZ. The District Attorney’s case will now mull whether to file criminal charges against Urias, who allegedly got physical with a woman following an Inter Miami-LAFC soccer game in September. Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Urías was arrested on Sept. 3 and released on a $50,000 bond.

According to reports, stadium workers intervened during an altercation between Urías and a woman. Urias and the woman then allegedly went into a nearby vehicle where things once again escalated. According to TMZ, at least part of the alleged incident was caught on video.

Following the incident, Urías was placed on administrative leave by the MLB on Sept. 6. Within the week, the Dodgers removed multiple references from Urías from around Dodger Stadium and gave away the pitcher’s locker. Urías, who spent eight years with the Dodgers, was in the final weeks of a one-year contract.

This incident was Urías’ second arrest for domestic violence in four years. He was previously placed on administrative leave and later suspended 20 games for a domestic violence incident in 2019.

Urías, who may face felony charges for the incident, has maintained his innocence throughout the process. There is currently no timetable on the decision.
