LeBron James Issues Classy Message to Ja Morant Upon Grizzlies Star’s Return

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant is set to return to the basketball court after serving a 25-game suspension for posting images of a gun on social media. LeBron James, the superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers, shared a heartfelt message for Morant as he makes his comeback against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Morant, once considered a rising star in the NBA, faced two suspensions for his actions related to displaying a gun on social media. The league mandated that Morant participate in a program addressing the behavior that led to these incidents. NBA commissioner Adam Silver confirmed Morant’s compliance with the program.

In the previous season, Morant averaged 26.2 points and 8.1 assists per game in 61 appearances. Morant and the Grizzlies were eliminated in the first round of the 2023 playoffs by the Lakers. Morant and James are scheduled to face each other on January 5 when the Grizzlies visit the Lakers in Los Angeles.
