Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders appear ahead of rumored July Unpacked

Unofficial renders of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphone surfaced on Wednesday, courtesy of SmartPrix and OnLeaks. These renders offer a glimpse into the anticipated flagship foldable device, showcasing a notably boxier design compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The new design features squared edges, resembling the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra, a departure from the softer, rounded edges of the previous model.

According to details from Smartprix, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm when unfolded, making it slightly shorter and wider than its predecessor. The inner screen is reported to span 7.6 inches diagonally, while the front cover display measures approximately 6.2 inches.

The renders also reveal familiar design elements, such as the triple camera system on the rear, aligned with previous models. The device retains three microphones and a speaker grill at the top, along with another microphone, speaker grill, and USB-C port at the bottom. Volume controls and the power button remain on the right side, with the SIM card slot located on the left.

While Samsung has yet to confirm official specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Smartprix anticipates the device to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering memory options of 12GB and 16GB, with up to 1TB of storage. Both screens are expected to feature OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The triple-camera system may include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, along with a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Official details from Samsung are still pending, but there are increasing indications that an Unpacked event scheduled for July may unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6, possibly alongside the launch of the Galaxy Ring. Until then, enthusiasts eagerly await confirmation and further insights into Samsung’s latest foldable smartphone offering.
