Ja'Marr Chase thinks Ja'Marr Chase is the top NFL WR

Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase thinks he is the best wide receiver in the league.

“I am the best,” he told the media on Wednesday, ahead of this week’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings and Justin Jefferson, his former college teammate and another top WR. “I don’t feel like we’re the two best. I’m the best.”

Comparing the two head-to-head, Chase has 89 receptions on 128 targets (69 percent success rate) for 1,092 yards and seven total touchdowns so far this season. Jefferson has 38 receptions on 56 targets (67 percent success rate) for 598 yards and three touchdowns. In their whole careers, Chase has over 3,000 yards, averages 14 yards a carry and has 29 total touchdowns. Jefferson has over 5,000 yards, averages 15 yards a carry and has 28 total touchdowns.

Not to mention, they were teammates at LSU, where they won a national championship together.

Of course, an argument can be made that Tyreek Hill is the the NFL’s best wideout. If we go on numbers alone, the Miami Dolphins star leads the league with 1,542 yards and 12 TDs, and is second in receptions (97).

Jefferson is still listed as questionable going into this weekend despite telling the media he intends to play. Chase is also still designated questionable due to an ankle injury last week.

“It was crazy. I mean, just our moments that we had other than just me, Joe [Burrow], and Ja’Marr, but to see the things that we have, we have done and what we are doing in the league now is outrageous,” Jefferson said back in August. “To say that we were on the same team winning the national championship together and be a class for one of the best offenses to ever play college football.”
